At the Blue Ridge Clinic for Chinese Medicine, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to promote and maintain health. Our experienced acupuncturist, J. Nile Bachmann, L.Ac., MSOM, has over 10 years of clinical practice and specializes in the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Tui Na massage to treat a variety of conditions. From neck and shoulder pain to arthritis and sciatica, we have the expertise and knowledge to help you feel better.

Our services include acupuncture and acupressure, which utilize thin needles and/or finger pressure to treat pain and other ailments. We also offer Tui Na massage and cupping, which use medical massage techniques to treat pain, increase circulation, and speed recovery from injury. Additionally, we provide personalized herbal formulas from the ancient tradition of Chinese medicine. Our goal is to provide a holistic approach to health, combining the best of Eastern and Western medical practices.

What to Expect During Your Visit

During your initial visit, you will receive a detailed assessment and a Chinese medicine diagnosis. The initial visit typically lasts an hour and a half. We recommend arriving in comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Your treatment may include a variety of modalities tailored to your specific needs, such as acupuncture, Tui Na massage, and herbal medicine. Our experienced practitioner will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring your comfort and understanding throughout.

Rates and Insurance

Our rates are competitive, with new patient appointments starting at $110. Acupuncture sessions are $75, while combining acupuncture with Tui Na massage is $105, which is our preferred treatment for back pain, neck and shoulder pain, and sciatic pain. Tui Na massage without acupuncture is $60. We are currently not an in-network provider, but we can provide you with a superbill that lists all the appropriate codes for your specific treatment. You can submit this superbill to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement.
