Our Story
Our story begins with our founder, Dr. Shannon Freeman, a licensed acupuncturist with a wealth of experience in the field of integrative medicine. Raised in a rich cultural heritage, Dr. Freeman draws inspiration from her Ojibwa/Cree/Metis roots and Quaker upbringing, which has instilled in her a profound connection to the cycles of life and death. This upbringing has guided her professional journey, shaping her dedication to a holistic approach to health.
With a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and Organizational Systems from Western Washington University, Dr. Freeman pursued a Certified Nursing Aide certification and later became a Licensed Massage Practitioner. She further honed her skills in deep, long-lasting treatment methods. Continuing her education, Dr. Freeman obtained licensure in Acupuncture and pursued a Doctorate of Acupuncture. Her research focus centered on treating Lyme Disease, Epstein Bar, and post-Covid symptoms through both allopathic and Eastern Medicine approaches.
