Our History

Armed with her extensive knowledge of European skin care, Hungarian-born Sylvia von Illyes first opened the doors to European Skincare Institute in the fall of 1980. As one of the first day spas in the Southwest, we pioneered many of the skin care and body treatments currently available. Our reputation for exemplary personalized service and unparalleled results has earned us numerous local and national awards.

Milestones

Throughout our history, we have been at the forefront of innovation, introducing new and groundbreaking treatments to the market. Some of our notable milestones include:

• 1996: Endermologie, one of the first day spas in the nation to offer this effective non-invasive procedure for the treatment of cellulite and other skin irregularities.
• 1997: Medical Micro-Dermabrasion, the first day spa to offer this remarkable procedure in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
• 1999: Facial Muscular Therapy, the first FDA-approved, non-surgical method of lifting the sagging muscles of the face and neck.
• 2000: Photo-Rejuvenation, European Skincare Institute's nurses and technicians were one of the first in the nation to receive this training by Dr. Patrick Bitter, Jr., the pioneer.
• 2001: Micro-Sonic Skin Therapy, developed and patented by European Skincare Institute, this treatment battles fine lines, wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity.
• 2003: ClearLight Acne Therapy, one of the first in the area to offer this new, FDA-approved treatment for mild to moderate acne.
• 2006: Accent RF, an official FDA study site and one of the first in the nation to offer this painless method of skin tightening, fat reduction and cellulite control.
• 2007: Pixel Fractional Skin Resurfacing, remarkable results with this FDA-approved method of skin rejuvenation and scar revision for all ages and skin types.
• 2008: Isolaz, the first FDA-approved medical laser that combines revolutionary photopneumatic technology to successfully treat stubborn acne.
• 2014: Eclipse Micropen, fractional micro-needling technology to improve acne and wound scars, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles and pore size.
• 2018: HydraFacial, the newest advancement in non-laser skin resurfacing, the HydraFacial MD treatment cleanses, peels, extracts and hydrates the skin, leaving it healthier and more nourished.
• 2019: PRP, used for hair restoration and facial rejuvenation, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is a highly-advanced treatment that infuses a patient's skin or scalp with their own plasma to promote cellular regeneration.
• 2020: Intraceuticals Oxygen Treatment, this amazing treatment delivers cooling, calming and pressurized oxygen with an airbrush to increase absorption of high-grade anti-aging serums used, which naturally and significantly improve the skin's hydration levels.
